I am a passionate advocate for women's leadership and career advancement, bringing over 40 years of experience in the academic and non-profit sectors.
My journey has been defined by a commitment to nurturing talent and fostering environments where individuals can thrive. As a Senior Lecturer at Ulster University and the Chair of the Board of Sensory Integration Education UK & Ireland, I have dedicated my career to supporting others in reaching their full potential while continually striving to expand my own knowledge and skills. Additionally, I have served as Chair and Deputy Chair of the governing Council of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, where I led initiatives to foster leadership and drive change.
-
Throughout my career, I have held several leadership roles that have shaped both my professional identity and the communities I serve. As the Chair of Sensory Integration Education, I guided the organisation through a pivotal transition to an online education platform, expanding access to high-quality training for professionals across the UK, Ireland and internationally. I have been able to influence internationally in respect of training standards and career development structures.
My roles have included Head of School of Health Sciences at Ulster University, where I led efforts to innovate in health education and training, preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals, and leading in strategic initiatives regionally and through professional working groups. Over the last fifteen years, I have honed my coaching skills and applied these skills to build and support leadership and project teams across various sectors.

My personal life is enriched by my family and my deep connection to nature. Alongside my husband, Alan Rogers, I have found joy in fostering two wonderful boys, now young adults, and in creating a haven for wildlife at our rural home. To me, families come in all shapes and sizes, including friends as family.
We aim for our home, an old farmhouse, to be a welcoming space for both old and new friends. My experiences have grounded me in the values of compassion, resilience, and the importance of giving back to our community. For relaxation, I enjoy reading, crafting, gazing out the window, listening to the wind in the trees, and simply doing nothing.
-
I believe in the transformative power of education and mentorship, particularly in empowering people to overcome barriers and achieve their career goals.
My approach is deeply collaborative, focusing on creating a supportive environment where each client can explore their strengths, build confidence, and navigate their professional journeys with clarity and purpose. I am also committed to my own growth and learning, constantly reflecting on my experiences and seeking new insights to better support those I mentor.
I value the balanced power dynamic that executive coaching fosters between me and my clients. The clients set the control, goals, and actions for change, while I facilitate and drive this change with my skills.
I am also committed to my own growth and learning, constantly reflecting on my experiences and seeking new insights to better support those I mentor.
-
My coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every individual has the potential to lead and succeed. Through personalised guidance and a focus on reflective practice, I help clients in early to mid-career stages, or those transitioning to senior leadership roles, to unlock their full potential. I approach each coaching relationship with a mindset of mutual growth, recognising that as I guide others, I too am learning and evolving. This shared journey of discovery helps build deeper connections and fosters an environment of trust and mutual respect. As an accredited Coach with the Institute of Leadership and Management, trained by Dr. Carole Pemberton (Coaching to Solutions), I continually enhance my skills through ongoing professional development.
-
Empowerment and Growth: I am dedicated to helping clients advance in their careers and leadership roles through tailored support and strategic mentorship.
Integrity and Respect: I conduct all coaching engagements with the utmost respect for each client's unique experiences, maintaining confidentiality and trust at all times.
Walking the Talk: I strive to embody the principles I advocate, constantly reflecting on and improving my own practice to ensure that I am not just a guide, but also a fellow traveller on the path of growth and learning
